I've now been stuck in non-player-controllable possession situations for ~15 minutes or more three times because there's no maximum limit on how far apart each struggle chance is, and no guarantee that it'll work when it does. At some point, losing all agency becomes rather unfun.

It works a little differently. Nel helps you level up, earn money. If you communicate well with her, she will also help with your friendship level.

There is an app for IOS called Spark - Ren’py.
It costs around $10 but plays the game great.
Only issue I have is that it crashes after joining the Mauraders for Violets story arc.
