There are a lot of quests in the game now. Therefore, hints have been added to the game: a fortuneteller, a bartender, a library, as well as marks on the map. The bartender tells you about story quests, the fortune teller tells you about hidden quests, the library helps you learn the mechanics of the game, and markers on the map hint at available main quests.
This game is awesome, been following it nearly two years and it just keeps getting better. I've deleted my plays and restarted at least 4 times along the way. I'd like it if there was a gallery to pay proper respect to all the hard hours put into the animations lol. The character development is better then most games but celica is just too damn nice there is no way id let a suit of armor take my body for a stroll while I'm either asleep unconscious or nakey spirit just makes my skin crawl thinking about it lol. Speaking of possessions any plans to let that doll get in some comfortable situations in the future or any other of the characters celica can posses? Also I keep seeing updates to new hair designs and I keep expecting to find a hair stylist to let me alter her hair but maybe their just fixes. Anyway awesome game great job!

you don't permenantly lose the slim armor, you just need to defeat the demonless, defeating her gives you your armor back plus grants you a dark spell.

Understanding a lot of the events requires listening carefully to what the characters say. But this could be difficult even for someone who doesn't have brain damage. The fortuneteller may be a good help. I can say from experience that throughout this game I never faced any bad turning point other than a game over from health depletion. Many characters are cruel, but they always turn out to be nice on some level. The game makes Celica a glutton for abuse.
P.S.: If you need help defeating the demoness, go visit the hot springs. There is an intricate set of events there but eventually you can gain powerful magic which will make her a pushover in comparison.

Nel herself offers some training, and additional training with Nel can be accessed via interactions with Glace and Vivi. You can also visit the Mystic Fox Shrine at the Hot Springs in order to harden your body outside of Nel's control.

Dev Suggestion: In the case that the player has met the mysterious bee again without Miriam but has not planted the beans, the Fortune Teller could have a relationship hint for unknown character which says something like "Make magic happen by planting something special at Willow's End."
Someone else said I had found something they didn't and I was thinking if they loaded my save and noticed something new, what could it be other than the new Bee area? Which got me thinking maybe a lot of people miss that one. I solved it as soon as I saw it but I also kept reflecting on every old item I had sitting in my inventory without a use yet (good strategy when trying to find the last few secrets) and I am also highly familiar with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and variations/references. I think the average player might be a lot more likely to have no idea what to do there and move on.

They're a really easy fight with one or more party members along with confusion immunity potion. Sleep immunity can also be useful. You can fight them solo but the immunity potions will be basically necessary, and the Free Soul skill will also help a lot. Violet is a great help if you have her. Nel on autopilot is also pretty good at taking them on but might possibly be vulnerable to stalemate if alone. Recommended attributes: high willpower and arcane, low allure. Cooldown not important unless you have a light spell. Elf armor might be useful here. Hmm I wonder if that was intentional?
I am struggling to find one more enchanted thread and one more dwarven cogwheel. I need these to buy the last two clothing items from the tailor, but I have completed all quests and events save for one secret event, and I have checked and re-checked every combat zone plenty of times and there are no remaining treasures to discover that I can see.

You know those expensive mystery boxes can give treasures 2 of them not on the map and the rest give you the treasure and removes it from the map( you need to have unlocked that area before)

I got the enchanted thread and the dwarven cogwheel. But I forgot to mention I also appear to be short by two Solarite. I have two items which can be upgraded to a Solarite version I think (Willpower ring and Allure pendant) but there are no more treasures I can find. I tried opening several more mystery boxes but I am just getting generic items from them now. Are there two more Solarite available?

I bumped myself up from version 0.66.014 to 0.68.008 the other day and I noticed some interesting character redesigns.
Godrin the Dwarf Tremendous change. He definitely looks a LOT more like a Dwarf now. I liked his look before, as he looked like a Dwarf who had been dressed up in a "Santa's Elf" style which seemed fitting. But I also like the new one and it is also just a higher quality sprite overall. He also looks more like the people of Dirn Kibhar, which I suppose is fairly important.
Vivi the Maid Slight change to her face. This one saddened me a bit because I preferred the way she looked before. Now she is more conventionally attractive, but before she had a more devious look which I felt was particularly befitting of her "Gihihi" laugh. It's minor, though. Not a big deal.
Celica Spirit Form Subtle yet distinct improvement. The sprite doesn't look hugely different but it was a bit weird looking before and it was bugging me so I'm quite happy that it got some work done. The new sprite is perfect and really captures the impression that Celica is more timid than how she carries her physical self. High quality work!
Glace the Enchanted Armor All of these improvements got me thinking and hoping: I hope they fixed that horrible look when Glace is in Celica's body in combat and she turns her head greater than 90º with respect to her body. Took her out to check...nope, still doing the weird head thing. Oh well. Can't fix everything in one update!
Anyway, I just wanted to say I really appreciate the graphics updates, just as I really like the overall graphics of the game quite a lot and I think the current quality is very generally. Also when I see screenshots with older graphics, I typically feel that the new works are fantastic upgrades! Amazing job!

I just know that for every event there is a clue (bertender or fortune teller). Recently there was a similar complaint, it turned out that Celica had traces of demonic influence. This was corrected by treating her to cakes from the dwarven city.

I am also at the same point, all events save for one secret event are completed. I read on the wiki that there is a secret event in which if you are wearing Glace's armor and are in Celestian form when Glace takes over, then she will learn about Celestian form and be able to use it, and you will also be able to use it when fighting her.
But I don't see how it is possible to have her take over during Celestian form because it only functions while time is paused, but she only takes over if time is passed. I managed to get what might be the closest possible to that: I ended combat while in Celestian form and immediately after shifting back to human form, Glace took over. She didn't say anything about the form. I don't see how she could use it in combat since she always brings Evie along. I was not able to use Celestian form in combat against her even though we were alone in a room together. So it seems that I have failed to get this secret event.

1. At some point, Faylen's level (when possessed by Celica) reset from 20 to 1, but all her abilities remained maxed out. I don't know when this happened or how it was triggered. I leveled her back up to 20, and I now have 19 extra ability points sitting there that I can't spend. Is there some way to be rid of these extra skill points?
2. I'm unable to register Candy at the Mystic Fox Shrine. I've registered Celica, Galiene, Faylen, and Liam, but no more talismans are being sold at the wagon. The only reason I know it's possible to register Candy is that I started another playthrough and was surprised to see Candy show up as an option the second time around. Is there only a certain window of opportunity in which Candy can be registered?
This game is so well done and so much on the fun! I never understood why some of these games focus on H scenes, but punish the player for using them - this however understands what kind of game it is and there are upsides to engaging in these scenes!
There is really only one down side - and that is entirely my personal opinion and does not mean the game is bad - I just really don't like that the story can't be advanced without the female on female scenes. Like, a few are fine, but there's so many.
I know these games are made for a certain audience, but skipping through everything companion related took a bit away from my experience, cause I'm (not) sorry, I'm not lesbian and there's just too much of that in it. If it was optional to advancing the main story, no problem. I am hoping that later, maybe this will be looked at, but otherwise a fantastic game and I would really encourage the dev to put this on steam!

Regarding punishment for scenes for adult audiences: unfortunately, many authors add something to their games to artificially stretch the plot. Including a punishment system and useless mini-games (fillers).
There are no useless mini-games in the ToM, and that's great. Overall, the game tries to treat the player well, because even if the player does not make regular saves, one can play without much fear of breaking the gameplay. Is it true, some players still manage to surprise, for example, by selling plot-important items. Moreover, NPCs clearly indicate the importance of the item.
Therefore, I personally still have hope that closer to version 1.0 the game will receive branches that will save Celica from the Mary Sue syndrome (well, seriously, she already combines everything that is possible and impossible), and will also add subplots for NPCs.
The author keeps the details of the continuation of the plot secret, so for now we can only guess.

I don't sense any Mary Sue Syndrome in Celica. She's extremely, perhaps even unrealistically, kind and forgiving but that's more of a weakness than a strength, and it gets exploited. It's the friends she makes along the way who defend her from those attackers, and that is the benefit to her kindness. Also she does become a very powerful mage so that helps a lot when she needs to defend herself.
Yes, it is a combination of her being an actual main character (the player character) since Rule of Cool dictates it is better to involve the player than strive for realism overall, as well as camp in that the story is meant to be a half-serious fantasy world. Yet despite that, the game designer has included a silly yet fairly airtight basis to explain it: to avoid spoilers I will say only that for reasons explained later in the game, people and creatures throughout the game world feel an unnatural sexual attraction to Celica specifically, simply because of who she is.
I think that the plot, though clearly contrived, easily fits within my suspension of disbelief as the world building seems to have been diligent enough to consider these things.
I'm still theorizing that there will be branches in the final version that could make the plot more logical. But... So far, the current versions are 0.68 and 0.69, so a lot can still change before the final...
I am having trouble getting the last common treasure from the Dirn Khibhar Mines. I counted 43 common treasure chests in a row giving the mana leaf item. I've gotten the health berry there before, but not in this session. During this time, I got a gold chest, four silver chests, and two mimic chests. The third common loot is still unknown.
Rare treasures are obtained using a simple formula:
1. Treasure Finder in small Inventory.
2. Good clothes (for example, an elven set) and speed and magic skills.
3. Well, a series of victories, the creeps make the indicator of the probability of a rare treasure appearing red (displayed on the left side of the location status line).
If you leave the location, your series of victories is interrupted.
Ah, so it is a greater alchemite. I noticed similar behavior with the common treasure greater alchemite in the dark cave. It seems that the inherent rarity of the greater alchemite as common treasure is so high that it's considerably faster to farm them as rare treasure with the treasure finder.

I have needed help with a bunch of things but I've managed to find my way mostly. The bartender, the fortune teller, and the pawn shop have been instrumental there! But I am down to one remaining silver item and no more gold. Can someone tell me where to find more gold? All I find these days is mithril.
I have little to offer as constructive criticism but I have a bit: - I think that the first wallet gemstone should be made available earlier than L's shop. Or maybe I just didn't manage to find it before then. - I felt like I had to do too much combat and gained too much experience, while I keep waiting around for the game to provide me with new abilities and the enemies are getting too far below my level. Perhaps the huge experience gain from enemies near your level should turn down sooner and more gradually...shouldn't take just 2-3 encounters with things 3-4 levels below me to level up, I think. Also could be nice to have more spells available, such as perhaps a healing spell. I noticed that Evie uses one but I wasn't able to get her to teach it to me. As for gold... First, read the book of fusions in the library. It will help you understand which items really need to be leveled up.
To test yourself, you can go through all the locations where battles are possible and see if there are any rare chests there that you have not yet found. Rare unfound chests are displayed at the bottom of the game screen, on the right. Usually this is a chest with a number. If there are only 3-4 chests with an infinity symbol, you have already found everything in this location.
Regarding difficulty levels: you can adjust the difficulty level yourself using artifacts. Because there are artifacts that simplify the gameplay and vice versa. You can enable or disable skills that you have already discovered. Same with clothes.
Regarding the shortcomings you listed: try to study the game world more carefully.

Oh, I got a gold nugget in the ancient pyramid! Also I got a cursed item which increases enemy levels so that might be useful. Mimics can also be a good source of skill experience. I still think either the player levels up too fast, or the treasure takes too long to find. And then immediately after finding it I leveled up and hit the level cap. I guess that's another way I don't have to worry about leveling up!

1. Rollback to auto save if the sale was before 3 game days (study the first sections of saves)
2. Regular purchases of goods at a pawnshop, expecting that one of the goods will be the item sold.
3. Start the game again.
All important items that you sell will eventually be available for purchase at the pawn shop. However, you need to buy other items first before they start appearing.

This game is awesome, been following it nearly two years and it just keeps getting better. I've deleted my plays and restarted at least 4 times along the way. I'd like it if there was a gallery to pay proper respect to all the hard hours put into the animations lol. Understanding a lot of the events requires listening carefully to what the characters say. But this could be difficult even for someone who doesn't have brain damage. The fortuneteller may be a good help. I can say from experience that throughout this game I never faced any bad turning point other than a game over from health depletion. Many characters are cruel, but they always turn out to be nice on some level. The game makes Celica a glutton for abuse.
P.S.: If you need help defeating the demoness, go visit the hot springs. There is an intricate set of events there but eventually you can gain powerful magic which will make her a pushover in comparison.

Nel herself offers some training, and additional training with Nel can be accessed via interactions with Glace and Vivi. You can also visit the Mystic Fox Shrine at the Hot Springs in order to harden your body outside of Nel's control.

Someone else said I had found something they didn't and I was thinking if they loaded my save and noticed something new, what could it be other than the new Bee area? Which got me thinking maybe a lot of people miss that one. I solved it as soon as I saw it but I also kept reflecting on every old item I had sitting in my inventory without a use yet (good strategy when trying to find the last few secrets) and I am also highly familiar with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and variations/references. Yes, the main problem with the lack of the type of relationship you specified is the small number of people who want to see such relationships in the game. The game itself, in principle, already has some plot branches that make it possible to please both fans of M/F and fans of F/F. It all depends on the activity of the community.

Some events in the game do not occur if the player does not develop Celica's skills sufficiently.
Therefore, it is important to buy/find items and use them. Tailor also depends on the number of skill items learned.

They're a really easy fight with one or more party members along with confusion immunity potion. Sleep immunity can also be useful. You can fight them solo but the immunity potions will be basically necessary, and the Free Soul skill will also help a lot. Violet is a great help if you have her. Nel on autopilot is also pretty good at taking them on but might possibly be vulnerable to stalemate if alone. Recommended attributes: high willpower and arcane, low allure. Cooldown not important unless you have a light spell. Elf armor might be useful here. Hmm I wonder if that was intentional?
I am struggling to find one more enchanted thread and one more dwarven cogwheel. I need these to buy the last two clothing items from the tailor, but I have completed all quests and events save for one secret event, and I have checked and re-checked every combat zone plenty of times and there are no remaining treasures to discover that I can see.

You know those expensive mystery boxes can give treasures 2 of them not on the map and the rest give you the treasure and removes it from the map( you need to have unlocked that area before)

I got the enchanted thread and the dwarven cogwheel. But I forgot to mention I also appear to be short by two Solarite. I have two items which can be upgraded to a Solarite version I think (Willpower ring and Allure pendant) but there are no more treasures I can find. I tried opening several more mystery boxes but I am just getting generic items from them now. Are there two more Solarite available?

I bumped myself up from version 0.66.014 to 0.68.008 the other day and I noticed some interesting character redesigns.
Godrin the Dwarf
Tremendous change. He definitely looks a LOT more like a Dwarf now. I liked his look before, as he looked like a Dwarf who had been dressed up in a "Santa's Elf" style which seemed fitting. But I also like the new one and it is also just a higher quality sprite overall. He also looks more like the people of Dirn Kibhar, which I suppose is fairly important.
Vivi the Maid
Slight change to her face. This one saddened me a bit because I preferred the way she looked before. Now she is more conventionally attractive, but before she had a more devious look which I felt was particularly befitting of her "Gihihi" laugh. It's minor, though. Not a big deal.
Celica Spirit Form
Subtle yet distinct improvement. The sprite doesn't look hugely different but it was a bit weird looking before and it was bugging me so I'm quite happy that it got some work done. The new sprite is perfect and really captures the impression that Celica is more timid than how she carries her physical self. High quality work!
Glace the Enchanted Armor
All of these improvements got me thinking and hoping: I hope they fixed that horrible look when Glace is in Celica's body in combat and she turns her head greater than 90º with respect to her body. Took her out to check...nope, still doing the weird head thing. Oh well. Can't fix everything in one update!
Anyway, I just wanted to say I really appreciate the graphics updates, just as I really like the overall graphics of the game quite a lot and I think the current quality is very generally. Also when I see screenshots with older graphics, I typically feel that the new works are fantastic upgrades! Amazing job!

I just know that for every event there is a clue (bertender or fortune teller). Recently there was a similar complaint, it turned out that Celica had traces of demonic influence. This was corrected by treating her to cakes from the dwarven city.

I am also at the same point, all events save for one secret event are completed. I read on the wiki that there is a secret event in which if you are wearing Glace's armor and are in Celestian form when Glace takes over, then she will learn about Celestian form and be able to use it, and you will also be able to use it when fighting her.
But I don't see how it is possible to have her take over during Celestian form because it only functions while time is paused, but she only takes over if time is passed. I managed to get what might be the closest possible to that: I ended combat while in Celestian form and immediately after shifting back to human form, Glace took over. She didn't say anything about the form. I don't see how she could use it in combat since she always brings Evie along. I was not able to use Celestian form in combat against her even though we were alone in a room together. So it seems that I have failed to get this secret event.

Thank you very much for this amazing game. I spent lots of time playing and enjoying it. Does anyone have any advice or input on the following? They may be bugs, but perhaps I'm overlooking something (version 0.68.008).
1. At some point, Faylen's level (when possessed by Celica) reset from 20 to 1, but all her abilities remained maxed out. I don't know when this happened or how it was triggered. I leveled her back up to 20, and I now have 19 extra ability points sitting there that I can't spend. Is there some way to be rid of these extra skill points?
2. I'm unable to register Candy at the Mystic Fox Shrine. I've registered Celica, Galiene, Faylen, and Liam, but no more talismans are being sold at the wagon. The only reason I know it's possible to register Candy is that I started another playthrough and was surprised to see Candy show up as an option the second time around. Is there only a certain window of opportunity in which Candy can be registered?

Yes, but there is no reason to register Candy, as the talismans have no influence over her.
This game is so well done and so much on the fun! I never understood why some of these games focus on H scenes, but punish the player for using them - this however understands what kind of game it is and there are upsides to engaging in these scenes!
There is really only one down side - and that is entirely my personal opinion and does not mean the game is bad - I just really don't like that the story can't be advanced without the female on female scenes. Like, a few are fine, but there's so many.
I know these games are made for a certain audience, but skipping through everything companion related took a bit away from my experience, cause I'm (not) sorry, I'm not lesbian and there's just too much of that in it. If it was optional to advancing the main story, no problem. I am hoping that later, maybe this will be looked at, but otherwise a fantastic game and I would really encourage the dev to put this on steam!
When developing a game, the opinion of the active part of the audience is largely taken into account.

Regarding punishment for scenes for adult audiences: unfortunately, many authors add something to their games to artificially stretch the plot. Including a punishment system and useless mini-games (fillers).
There are no useless mini-games in the ToM, and that's great. Overall, the game tries to treat the player well, because even if the player does not make regular saves, one can play without much fear of breaking the gameplay. Is it true, some players still manage to surprise, for example, by selling plot-important items. Moreover, NPCs clearly indicate the importance of the item.
Therefore, I personally still have hope that closer to version 1.0 the game will receive branches that will save Celica from the Mary Sue syndrome (well, seriously, she already combines everything that is possible and impossible), and will also add subplots for NPCs.
The author keeps the details of the continuation of the plot secret, so for now we can only guess.
As for Steam: if it happens, it will not be earlier than version 1.0.
I don't sense any Mary Sue Syndrome in Celica. She's extremely, perhaps even unrealistically, kind and forgiving but that's more of a weakness than a strength, and it gets exploited. It's the friends she makes along the way who defend her from those attackers, and that is the benefit to her kindness. Also she does become a very powerful mage so that helps a lot when she needs to defend herself.
Have you ever wondered how realistic it is to combine everything that Celica does? :-)

The game simply physically cannot fully show every type of activity that our blonde does. And she somehow combines it.
Yes, it is a combination of her being an actual main character (the player character) since Rule of Cool dictates it is better to involve the player than strive for realism overall, as well as camp in that the story is meant to be a half-serious fantasy world. Yet despite that, the game designer has included a silly yet fairly airtight basis to explain it: to avoid spoilers I will say only that for reasons explained later in the game, people and creatures throughout the game world feel an unnatural sexual attraction to Celica specifically, simply because of who she is.
I think that the plot, though clearly contrived, easily fits within my suspension of disbelief as the world building seems to have been diligent enough to consider these things.
I'm still theorizing that there will be branches in the final version that could make the plot more logical. But... So far, the current versions are 0.68 and 0.69, so a lot can still change before the final...
I am having trouble getting the last common treasure from the Dirn Khibhar Mines. I counted 43 common treasure chests in a row giving the mana leaf item. I've gotten the health berry there before, but not in this session. During this time, I got a gold chest, four silver chests, and two mimic chests. The third common loot is still unknown.
Rare treasures are obtained using a simple formula:
1. Treasure Finder in small Inventory.
2. Good clothes (for example, an elven set) and speed and magic skills.
3. Well, a series of victories, the creeps make the indicator of the probability of a rare treasure appearing red (displayed on the left side of the location status line).
If you leave the location, your series of victories is interrupted.

I didn't have any difficulty getting the rare treasures. It's the common treasure I can't get, and the treasure finder won't help with that.
These items drop randomly, without a treasure finder. For the rest, the algorithm I specified is used.
Ah, so it is a greater alchemite. I noticed similar behavior with the common treasure greater alchemite in the dark cave. It seems that the inherent rarity of the greater alchemite as common treasure is so high that it's considerably faster to farm them as rare treasure with the treasure finder.
edit: I just got five of them in a row. Weird.
Pay attention to the background. This alchemite is in a silver chest, and they usually appear less frequently. But Ren'Py's randomness is sometimes unpredictable...

I love this game! It is really good in so many ways!
I have needed help with a bunch of things but I've managed to find my way mostly. The bartender, the fortune teller, and the pawn shop have been instrumental there! But I am down to one remaining silver item and no more gold. Can someone tell me where to find more gold? All I find these days is mithril.
I have little to offer as constructive criticism but I have a bit:
- I think that the first wallet gemstone should be made available earlier than L's shop. Or maybe I just didn't manage to find it before then.
- I felt like I had to do too much combat and gained too much experience, while I keep waiting around for the game to provide me with new abilities and the enemies are getting too far below my level. Perhaps the huge experience gain from enemies near your level should turn down sooner and more gradually...shouldn't take just 2-3 encounters with things 3-4 levels below me to level up, I think. Also could be nice to have more spells available, such as perhaps a healing spell. I noticed that Evie uses one but I wasn't able to get her to teach it to me. And maybe a cursed item to reduce experience gain, or some other way to increase my ability to gain skill experience when all of the enemies are way below my level.

As for gold... First, read the book of fusions in the library. It will help you understand which items really need to be leveled up.
To test yourself, you can go through all the locations where battles are possible and see if there are any rare chests there that you have not yet found. Rare unfound chests are displayed at the bottom of the game screen, on the right. Usually this is a chest with a number. If there are only 3-4 chests with an infinity symbol, you have already found everything in this location.
Regarding difficulty levels: you can adjust the difficulty level yourself using artifacts. Because there are artifacts that simplify the gameplay and vice versa. You can enable or disable skills that you have already discovered. Same with clothes.
Regarding the shortcomings you listed: try to study the game world more carefully.
The library has good books with tips and explanations.
Oh, I got a gold nugget in the ancient pyramid! Also I got a cursed item which increases enemy levels so that might be useful. Mimics can also be a good source of skill experience. I still think either the player levels up too fast, or the treasure takes too long to find.
And then immediately after finding it I leveled up and hit the level cap. I guess that's another way I don't have to worry about leveling up!
As stated earlier, if you find the game too easy, you can easily fix this by turning some skills on or off. :-)

Hello! I am a huge fan of the game you have made. When I had a PC, this game was one of my favorites to grind out when I had time to mess around. However, a while back, I sold my PC off. I was wondering if there is any possibility of there being a mobile version of this game?
There is an android version of the game in the download section.
Unfortunately, I am on IOS… would the only alternative I have be to just get an android?
The game is only available for these systems: Windows, Linux, MacOS X, Android.
The iOS platform, unfortunately, is not very friendly for indie projects.
